Mmmmm. Bacon.
It has come to our attention (okay, Amy Corr told us) that there is a chocolate bar with bacon in it. Mo’s Bacon Bar. From Voges, no less. To make this even better (as if that were necessary) it’s a dark chocolate bar and the bacon is hickory smoked. All those experiments where we melted Nestle’s chocolate chips and drizzled it over Pepperidge Farms were for naught. No, there is a company that was already manufacturing a chocolate bar with bacon in it. Oh, carnivores: America is doomed.
As long as we are on the subject of things that taste like bacon let’s take a stroll through some other Pork Soda-inspired sweets, shall we? These are things probably only this chick could ponder.
Let’s start in the logical place: Uncle Oinker’s Gummy Bacon. This is a quote from a bacon candy hawker: “Sadly, Gummy Bacon does not taste like bacon.” Yes. Sadly. That is sad. So, you know what it does taste like? Strawberries. You know what tastes like bacon? Bacon. Also bacon mints and bacon toothpicks. Or at least they try to. The mints mix a minty flavor and a bacon-y flavor to arrive at a barf-y flavor. And the toothpicks? Why, god, why?
